water does not all come out of the shower head when I switch from bath to shower

Welcome to the DIY Forums.
It is probably the diverter. You may have to change the spout. If you look under the spout, if there is a slot, there is a screw you have to remove to slide the spout off. If no slot then you turn (countreclockwise) the spout and it will come off. You can replace just the spout. Good luck,
