I'm looking for advice on the best anchors/mollies, etc. to use for hanging pool table lights. I currently have the 50 lb. metal drywall anchors secured to the ceiling with eye hooks screwed in and the lights themselves are 8' long with holes drilled in @ 10" on each side and they're hanging from thin metal cable. The lights weigh @ 20 lbs each and they have scoring beads suspended between the 2 hanging cables. They seemed fine until 1 joker was pulling on the scoring beads last night with a lot of force and this afternoon that same light came crashing down. We also have a lot of people who don't like to bend down, so, they put the racks on top of the lights which makes them sway a bit. There is no way to get above the dry wall to add supports to hang the lights.
Thanks in advance for your kind advice. :wall:

Hello and welcome to forums.
The anchor pulled out of the drywall? I'd use a butterfly type anchor, they are steel, has a two sided spring loaded wings that spread out when inserted into a predrilled hole in your drywall. IMO these give the best support in drywall where you can't anchor into a stud or joist. HTH
