My upstairs toilet is different from the other two in my home. Rather than a ball-float on a horizontal rod, it has a "FluidMaster" float on a verticle post. Can I convert this to a standard horizontal rod type? I think I would just need to get the kit with the tower, float, and rod?
Also....the other tower in the same toilet...the tower with the flapper attached...well...it broke. The tower was cracked at the bottom, and when replacing the flapper, it cracked worse and is now broken. Can this be replaced? If so, how? It also has the flapper ball seat.
Thanks guys!

How difficult is that flush valve to replace? Anyone have a step-by-step?
Thanks!

You will have to remove the tank from the bowl. It is pretty simple. Should be instructions with the unit.

Will I need to get any gaskets or specific bolts? I am told that the bolts may need replaced, as they are usually corroded beyond re-use. How do I identify my toilet? Will it matter what brand it is?
Thanks.

The bolts should come with the kit. Check when you buy it. The brand, unless it is a special model, should not matter.
