Trim for Stairs

Quick question regarding trim for stairs. Can anyone give me suggestions or what type of trim can be used for stairs? I am trying to find a solution for my basement stairs before my carpet is installed. Do you use regular trim or is there a large piece of trim that fits the curvature of the stairs? Thanks again.

You could use any trim that you find appealing. You said curvature, do you have a curved staircase? Spiral or flying staircase? You can often find trim manufactured for many unusual purposes.
