I have recently remodeled my master bath. I have included shelving in the shower. The entire shower area was done with permabase (wonder board). For the edges of the shelving should I use a metal corner bead or just build out the edge with thinset. My concern is that over time the bead will get wet and rust through. Thank you for any advice.

Little unclear as to what kind of shower you're building, but it sounds like tile work to me. I can move this thread over to the Tile Forum if you'd like. Just as general advice, I wouldn't recommend any sort of metal trim in a shower, sooner or later it's going to rust. If you are indeed installing tile, they make corner trim pieces that could be used.
