Can I upgrade my existing Price Pfister 3-valve tub/shower faucets (washer-type valves) with better ceramic ones that are washerless by just changing the valve bodies?
The acrylic knobs on our 3-handle Price Pfister tub/shower valves keep wearing out so I would like to replace or upgrade them with better handles, but I would also like to improve the valve bodies so the water won't drip from the tub when they are turned off.
Also need to know where I can find the valve bodies and handles - the shower head is working fine.
Thanks for the advice,
Brian

Upgrading MAY be possible. It all depends on how much they have changed the design since yours was made. I have included a link with their website and toll free phone number. Perhaps they can tell you and also let you know who carries them in your area. Good luck.

You can confirm with P/P for your specific model; but generally it IS possible to remove your stems and replace with ceramic. One thing you must do is remove the screwed in seats from your body and leave them out. If not, the seat will smash the ceramic. You will probably have to replace the trim flange and handle as well . The only tricky part to this job is that the ceramic stems are shorter than many of the older stems; but with the proper trim you can usually make it work.
