TV question

I was given a 32 inch Panasonic 14 month old tv that went out during a power surge and the owners didn't think it was worth fixing. I replaced the fuse and it works just fine. However, when I plugged it into the wall socked a small popping sound came out of the socket. Otherwise it seems great!

Could there be anything wrong with it still? Thanks!!

Congratulations! I should be so lucky. The pop that you heard is normal. Since the standby power supply is always on, there will usually be a slight arcing at the socket when you plug the TV in.

Thanks for the help..Now I won't have to unplug it every time I leave.
