I would like to change out the dimmer switch which controls 6 R-30 lights.
I would like to change the bulbs to fluorescent and thus change the switch
to a simple , single pole type. I peaked a little at the present switch and it is a Lutron model with only 2 black wires going to it. I can see several white wires wire nutted together behind the switches (there is another single pole switch next to it and it controls a single bulb.) Ground wires are behind but I did not poke around.
What do I need to do in order to change over to a single pole switch?

The trick is to not do too much. Remove just those two wires from the dimmer (and the grounding wire if present). Touch nothing else. Then connect those two wires (and the grounding wire if present) to your new switch.

Remember: do as little as possible. Don't touch the white wires. Don't touch the other switch.

After I posted my question I did a search in this group for dimmers.
Same general reply, 2 wires, maybe ground don't mess with anything else.

Many thanks for your help.

I will post back later with the results.
I have to buy the fluoresent bulbs and the switch.
Just making sure I wasn't getting in too deep before hand.
