I have a bath tub spout that has a screw on the bottom for mounting and removal. However, this screw isn't lined up with the access point on the spout so I can't unscrew it. If I try to spin the spout to line up the screw with the access point, the screw spins with it. The area is tight so I can't really hold on to the part and line up the spout properly. Anyone know what I can do to get the screw lined up with the spout?

Gain access from the back side of shower wall. From there you can either cut the pipe and rework the line that feeds the spout in order to access the screw without difficulty.

If you can easily spin the spout-with-set screw, you may well be able to just pull it straight off of the end of the straight piece of pipe that it's on.
Good luck!
