Hello all,

I have a pair of 8 year old brass lamps in my living room. These lamps are the type when you touch any metal part the lamp will turn on, low, medium and then high. On one of my lamps the other day, the bulb blew and since then the touch feature no longer works. I tried several different types of 3-way bulbs and still nothing.

Is this problem fixable? If so, how can I do it?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I've never heard of anyone successfully repairing these things, but you might be the first. You might try calling the manufacturer to see what help they can provide.

John,

I thought I'd post back to let you and others know that there is item in the base of the lamp called a "touch switch". It's about 2" square in size and cost about $10.00 at your local electrical shop. They're very easy to wire up.

We're fixed up here and back in operation.

Thanks for all the help.
