I recently had to replace the tub spout due a broken diverter. Ever since I did this I get a whinning sound when I use the shower. This will come and go and I can only stop it by adjusting the water strength. How do I fix this?

Hi,
Check to make sure the pressure on the house is not too much, 80+ is too high.

My plumber's suggestion was the same ..install water pressure regulator..my pressure is over 100...Price range 600-800 dollars...I can live with noise for my 5 minute shower...
what is the real problem going on here..the shower is located next to hot water heater...
