I just replaced my 2.5 gallon expansion tank that had a rust hole in it with a brand new one. Now it looks like there is water coming from where the tank screws in. I tightened it as best I could, Should I use a loc tite or something like that? Never done anything like this before. :thinker:

Take the tank back off, put a plug in the female adapter.
Then, get a gauge and measure your water pressure. Then, pre-set that expansion tank to the working line pressure before installing.
It should state those instructions with the tank packaging. Remove the plug and now plan on reinstalling the tank.
Then, take teflon tape and wrap the threads 2 to 3 times, maybe use teflon thread sealant along with the tape. Then thread in till you cannot turn tank anymore.
