my basement is heated by an old gas heater...i would like to replace it with a gas fireplace...my thing is are those ventless ones good...my current unit has a 4inch vent that goes into my brick chimeny located about 4 feet behind the gas unit..so if i purchase a gas vented fireplace,would it be able to be vented through a 4in vent to my brick chimeny...thanks for the help...also are those fireplaces energy efficent....the gas unit i have now is about 30 years old and still works but i think it is a fuel eater....
