My old shower head dripped water, where the water normally comes our of the head, when the water was turned off. Thgis is just a shower. It was a slow drip, but annoying nontheless. I replaced the shower head and still have the same problem. Now that seems to make sense since when I had the old shower head off there was still water in the pipe. How can I fix this problem. Is it in the shut off knob?

GerryMurphy, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
It would appear that the control knob is not shutting the water off. If it is a two handle set-up you can turn off the cold water feed valve at the water heater, open a hot faucet to relieve pressure and see if the leak is still there. That will tell you if its the hot side. You will probably need to change the washer on the end of the stem.
If it is a single handle unit, you will have to change the cartridge. Good luck and reply back with any further questions.
