Well, you did not state it, so I will ask, did you replace the washers on the ends of the valve stems? Also, what is leaking......where, out the shower head, around a faucet handle, etc.?

They are new valves, so the washers are new. The leak is from the shower head. The seats are what worry me because I know that I can tighten them more but Im afraid I might strip the thread.

Is there anything that I can do?

It may be that there is a problem with the shower unit itself. Try turning off the cold water supply valve at the water heater to determine if it is the hot or cold (or both) leaking through.(open a hot faucet to relieve pressure on the line) That should tell you which stem or seat is the problem. Once found, try tightning the trouble one a little tighter. Post back and we will go from there. Good luck.

I turned off the heater and the leak was still there so it must be the cold water. I replace the seats again and the washers. Help!

The leak is coming from the shower head. I have replaced the valves that go into the wall. What else can I do.

The seat on the hot water side can still be tightened a bit but I am afraid that I will strip the threading if I go any lower. The hardware guy suggested taping the seat thread to a bigger size but I am not all that confident in using a tap. I always justed changed the washers and that usually stopped the leak I have no idea what is wrong this time.

What AM/STD valve do you have?

I can help you if I can look up the break down on it.
