I'm interested in integrating X10 with my security system (Concord Express) to receive X10 events for motion detection, door contacts, system armed etc. From what I've found so far, the Concord Express doesn't work with the Concord X10 module, but couldn't I integrate it with an X10 device, such as a powerflash (http://www.smarthome.com/4060.html) For example, if I connect the powerflash to my motion sensor zone contact, I should be able to get receive an X10 event for every motion event. Anyone try something like this?

True - the Concord Express does not support X-10.
But, technically, what you are wanting to do is connect a relay/contact output to a zone - sure you can do that.

Is it a good idea? That's another question. You'd be better off getting ITI's motion detector. For one thing, you only have 6 hardwire zones to hook up to.

Good luck!
