Hi,

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what a pro charges for a taping, mudding and sanding job? Is it per linear or square foot? Any difference between walls and ceiling?

Thanks for any info.

No one can possibly answer this question for you because location, cost of materials, and a zillion other factors determine what people charge.

Just call around locally and get estimates. That's your best bet.

There are several factors that will figure into the mix as Chris stated. Assuming 8' or 9' lids, you would probably be looking at $.90-$1.25 per s/f for everything, labor & material. The s/f wil be based upon the ftg of the sheets stocked for the job, which will be slightly higher than the actual s/f of the area. Now on the east coast, from what I've read on various pro oriented i-boards that I frequent, alot of guys charge by the sheet instead of s/f.
HTH & good luck.
