I recently had to remove the kitchen sink to get at the plastic mounting nuts that had bonded to the stainless steel to remove that faucet assembly. I now need to replace a bathroom faucet assembly from a ceramic sink in extremely tight quarters. Is there an easier way to remove the faucet assembly than removing the sink entirely?

What you need is a tool called a Basin Wrench. It has a long handle and 1 fixed jaw with one movable jaw. You reach up under the sink and undo the nuts with this tool. Look at the link below for a picture. It is in the first row, the right side of the page. Good luck.
