Can I buy and install an 'aftermarket' fresh air supply vent for my old fireplace?
I only burn wood in it, but can't seem to oxygenate the fire and still maintain warmth in the room. It lites very easily and has such good draft it sucks the air right out of the house. (and the warmth with it!) It also does not have a damper in the flue. It's either open or closed. No adjustment. The house was built in 1938.
