I have a direct vented propane fire place. it is situated in a bump out from a wall in the living room. There is no insulation in hte walls of hte bump out, and there is a lot of draftiness coming from around hte fireplace. What tye of insulation would be safe to use in proximity to the fireplace?

I have searched the internet and found a reference to Cera-Foil, and Perlite. The perlite seems to be easy to get, but as for any regular insulation type stuff, I have no idea.

Thanks!! :wall:
