Hi,
I installed an aprilaire 700 last year myself. Worked great all of last year. I turned it on yesterday and it seems to be coming on fine (test mode as well as otherwise) but water does not seem to be flowing in. I checked this by taking out the black plastic tubing from the solenoid output. The water inlet into the solenoid seems to be ok since I do see water in there. Is there something I can do before buying a new solenoid?

Just make sure you are getting 24v at the solenoid, and sounds like you already checked to make sure there is water right up to it.

Check on the saddle valve and see if its ok. Take the in line off the solenoid and see if you get a good flow of water . If you do turn the humidifier on calling for humidty and see if you can blow through the solenoid valve. Like said check that you get power to it. Some times the inside plunger in the solenoid will hang up.
