We are critical mass for redoing our kitchen. We have recently purchased bisque appliances. We would like to paint the walls a gold/yellow and the cabinets a white. We haven't decided on counter tops yet and the floors are a neutral tile. My palate is a curtain with deep red/green/gold.

Will this work? Or will the bisque appliances look dingy next to white cabinets? Any suggestions on the counters... dark or light colors that tie in the bisque appliances?

I would appreciate any insight before we mix the paint.

yes, the appliances will seem dingy compared to the white cabinets.

however!

if you can find a countertop that is mottled or speckled or two-tone in some fashion, blending white & bisque, then it will be fine.

however (again)!

the red/green/gold might not be so fine with the white cabinets. why white cabinets? if the floor is "neutral" (read: off white), and the appliances are bisque, why are you going stark white on the cabinets? maybe the whole problem is the cabinets......? can they be done in more of a washed color? more of a distressed whitewashed finish?

I guess I'm trying to match the cabinets to the trim to keep it consistant throughout the house, but you're right it might be to much for the curtains.

Definately. The cabinets could be a washed color or a distessed whitewashed finish. Of course, I will also explore the countertop option as well.

Thank you very much for your advice,
