Is it possible for the 20p to ... by using a function key to arm the system... turn on the x-10 lights and then after a period of time turn them off? The remotes for the x-10 have a very limited operating range and my gate to the facility is far outside this range. It would be nice to have the lights left on long enough to lockup the facility and then turned off automatically.

Absolutely. I'm not sure <i>exactly</i> how you would do this - without researching it - but I'm sure it's possible (maybe using the scheduling?) I know you will have to have the X-10 interface for the Vista to work with X-10 switches.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I have contacted the dealer several times and they have not be able to come up with a solution. I have programmed the function key to arm the system and turn on the lights. I have also programmed the function key to turn off the lights.
Getting the function key to arm the system, turn on the lights and then delay "turning off the lights" is another matter. I leave the observatory when I finish work or when the weather turns sour.... never at the same time each night. The gate I lockup at night is too far for the X-10 transmitters, therefore, I need the delay. Unable to resolve this. royc

Try this:
Enter programming, go to field 80 (*80). Enter the next unused output function. Activated by: 2 (zone type); Zone type: 21 (arming-away); Output Action: 5 (Duration 1); Output number: Whichever output in field 79 is the X-10; Go to field 177 (*177); Enter an appropriate duration that you desire for the lights to remain on: 0=15 sec; 1=30sec; 2=45 sec; 3= 60 sec; 4=90 sec; 5= 2 min; 6=2.5 min; 7=3 min; 8=4 min;9=5 min; #10= 6 min; #11=7 min; #12=8 min;#13=10 min;#14=12 min;#15=15 min.
*99 exits programming.

Thanks, Michael90. 4 min delay... gives enough time to lockup.
