how do i reapir wall in my home the paint was aligatoring skin??? chipping scrapped some then used mud to repair how do i use mud and how much? thnak you TINO

Scrape, sand the area, apply joint compound or spackle (over filling slightly), wait until it dries, apply another coat, sand smooth, prime, paint.
