I just installed a new hot water boiler in my basement, NY Thermal Legacy 150, and find that this new boiler does not radiate heat like my 40 year old boiler did so now my basement is cold.
What would be involved in adding a radiator to my basement? My system has one 1" copper pipe that circles the basement ceiling and I would like to be able to turn this radiator off or on manually when needed.
Would the heat actually pump down to the floor by the existing circulating pump or is a special system needed for a basement?
Any help will be appreciated.
