Hi. My boiler is now making a warbling squeaky noise when it starts up and, with only a few brief pauses, for as long as it keeps pumping. (It's loud enough to hear very distinctly up on the second floor even though the boiler is in the basement.) The boiler isn't labeled at all, so I have no idea what the brand is, and I don't know enough about radiator systems to tell you the type. There are no external gauges, however. It was last serviced (according to a label on the outside) in 1993. The noise appears to be coming from the "front" side of the boiler, not from the pipes and definitely not from the radiators.
The did make this noise last year during the cold season, but only for a couple seconds after starting up.
Does this sound like anything in particular? Any suggestions? Thanks.
Michael
