My television recently stopped giving me a vertical picture. When I turn on the television, the picture is condensed to about a 2-3 inch area horizontally across the middle of the screen. After about 20-25 minutes, I get a full picture. I was hoping someone knew what to do in this situation.
I don't want to take it to a repair shop, because I am worried that it may cost me more money to fix it than to buy a new one.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

you should probably start a new thread since you have a different TV. Yours is a Sanyo/JVC.
possible faults:
-verticle output IC (Maybe IC421)
-IC541 9V regulator (This Is a 3 legged device that has a heatsink on it. It has the numbers 7809 on the device)
