Replacing Broken Glass in Fireplace Door

One of the four glass pannels in my fireplace door broke. I do not see how I can replace the glass. It appears that the frame is held together with rivets of some sort.

Am I missing some magic? How do I get the new glass into the frame?

MVictory, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Your doors were probably made in a production environment. You may have to take them (or the section) to a glass company for replacement. It has to be tempered/heat resistant glass.
I would check with a local fireplace shop to see what your options are.
Good luck and revisit this post in case one of the other experts has another source of info that you may be able to use.

HI MV, I recently brought my Efel wood stove door to a local glass shop and they had to order what is called izing (not sure of spelling) glass. this type is able to withstand very high temps. It took 3 days to get it ups. My glass sat in a channel with a bead of stove cement and rope caulking. A 6" x 6" piece of glass cost me $45 installed. Growing up in a family that always had wood & coal stoves I remember my dad always saving the tempered glass from old kitchen ovens doors , .... Now i know why. Good Luck.
