I've drawn out a plan for a patio. I'd like to enhance the patio with some flagstone or slate. I've got about 350sq ft of rock that will be put down. How much sq ft should I expect to get from a 1 ton palate of flagstone or slate?

any ideas?

In general, and depending on thickness, you can figure about 100 sq. ft. per ton or per pallet. Prices seem to be in the $375 to $475 per ton, to the public, depending on the choice of stone, how far it is transported, etc.

I'd call different places for quotes, and then go look at the ones that interest you.

1 ton of flagstone = 100 - 150 square feet (3/4" - 1 1/2" thick)
