I purchased a suncort inductor db206, as well as a ducstat box. I have the inductor mounted in line to a 6" duct, however when I hook the fan up it doesnt spin?

The fan has three wires, green, white, and black. From the instructions the green == ground, black == live, white == common. I am attaching a three prong plug to the wires, so I can plug it into the ductstat, however the fan doesnt spin when plugged in.

I am hooking the ground (green) to the the ground (round prong), the white to the silver mount on plug, and the black to the brass plug...and nothing. What am I doing wrong? I know the ducstat is working because if I plug a light in to the outlet it works fine?

Any ideas?

Thanks....

Plug the fan into a regular outlet and see if it runs. If nothing, double check to make sure you have the wires screwed on to the prongs. If all wires are good, andyou know for a fact that you are getting 120v to the motor itself, then you may have a bad motor.

Sigh...I tested both the outlet and the connections on the motor and it is indeed getting power. I was a little suspect of these guys when I bought them. The first one didnt work, and when I went to exchange it the only other one left had been opened and there was no instrux or hardware in the box.....needless to say this one didnt either.

Just so I am comfortable in that I am wiring this correctly, it is supposed to be white to silver and black to brass? (I didnt think this could be that complicated....)

Thanks again....

The color hook up is right.
