Hi - I'm troubleshooting a problem with a 20 year old Magnavox TV. TV reception is great on all VHFand UHF channels, except channel 2. Picture is great up until text is displayed on the screen (think announcers name), and then that part of the screen get distorted and 'pulled to the right' across the horizontal until the text is removed. Also, it doesn't appear that the TV can 'tune' in the frequency - would this be right?

Any advise you can give would be apppreciated.

Channel 2? Sounds really strange. I'd double check and make sure that the TV is properly set for broadcast or cable. I think cable channel 2 is different than broadcast channel 2. (I say this because I've done it, got TV home, hooked it up and wondered why the picture wasn't right.) Anyway, I hope this helped.
