Hey anyone.. My problem is getting the best of me right now, my gas heater wont stay lit.. I light the pilot light.. and turn on the heat.. it will stay lit for almost a minute then it will click and turn off.. we tried messing with the FAN LIMIT CONTROLS... but no go.. keeps turning off.. here is a pic of what the heater thing looks like..
Its a Borg Warner Furnace w/ Honeywell FAN Controll..

Ouch! Looks like that unit had some flame rollout the front. I wonder if that
heat exchanger has a crack in it?
You can jump out the fan control to get the fan running for testing - but what this furnace really needs is a good once over by a pro.

is there anyway to get my heat to come back on and stay on? i was working fine 2 days ago.. Its been like that for like.... almost 3 yrs now... (the flame rollout and stuff) the click we have singled out to being near that fan controll box and I think its tripping the breaker.

Can you get the fan motor running at all? Once you get the fan motor
running continuously, then you can move forward here.
Sounds like your fan motor may have died.
Seriously, the pic you showed me screams of safety concerns.
Time to call for service.

If the fan is running, then prove the pilot flame. Will it hold a pilot flame? If not then the first thing I'd look at is the thermocouple. If it does hold a pilot flame
then turn the fan on and leave it on. Does the pilot stay lit? With the fan still running cause the tstat to call for heat. Does the main burner light? When the main burner lights is the flame blue throughout or is it lazy and orange? Is the flame regular and pointed, or is it being blown around? Put a thermometer in the register closest to the furnace, perhaps even in the ducting just ontop of the furnace. At what temperature does the unit cycle off?
