Maytag Washer - No Hot Water

The water line is open, and the cold works just great, but when I ask the washing machine to wash in Hot water, it sounds like hot water is trying to come out, but I only get a trickle. Any thoughts? TIA

change the water valve and your problem is solved. it is a non serviceable part. Part should not run over $24.00 unless it is a neptune.

-I'd vote for MLINE's idea as a SECOND choice. First check the screen at the entry to the valve. I find these plugged up often. The screen is down inside the valve inlet and may need a scriber or steel tweezers to get out. :cool:

the reason i do not recommend removing the screens is because of further damage that can happen. yes, try cleaning the screens but do not remove them. just my 2 cents.
