Are you getting a steady click from the ignitor? (Spark) Or just one click, and sits there?
We need more info.

What is used to light the pilot?
-Spark?
-HSI? (hot surface ignitor, glows orange)

Thanks for your response. My unit is a Lennox G20R series.
I know that it has an electrodeas part of the Pilot assembly (is that the HSI?). I dont see it glow or i dont see a spark.
I hope this helps.

Your ignitor may have taken a dump.
If it has spark ignition, you can hear that pretty well.
The single click you are hearing is probably a solenoid opening the pilot flame portion of the gas valve. It should click again if there is no ignition.
There should be something on the schematic that leads to the ignition type.

I do have a spark ignition When It started up earlier and I turned on the pilot light there were several louder clicks that did ignite the flame. The inital click i hear i believe is coming from the relay.
Thanks

Spark ignition is not repairable. If there is power to the ignition module and it is not arcing, then it is broken.
It is possible for the ignition wire to have a bad connection at the electronic box or at the pilot light, so check the wire out first. Look for burnt spots. It produces the same thing as an automotive ignition, so it will zap you if you aren't careful. It should be harmless (but irritating), unless you have a pacemaker or something like that.

It sounds to me like you are out on a safety. Shutting the power to the furnace off reset it, and when you turned it back on it ran untill the safety tripped again.
Check to make sure your filter is clean and that all the vent are open and clear.
Have you had this furnace cleaned and serviced lately?
