Single=pipe older Carlin burner continues to fire after oil-out restart.
Restart procuedure followed:
Emergency switch off; turned on, .
Open bleeder port, bled approx 8 oz. fuel to steady stream.
Closed bleeder port. Burner firing strongly.
Burner ran continuously for next 20 minutes or so while enjoying a holiday beverage.
Next morning, was told burner had run all night. House was approx 75 degrees (set at 70), overnight temps in 20's, morning was warming up to 40.
Burner would not shut off even when thermostat (round Honeywell) turned below 75. Only would turn off when emergency switch thrown.
Burner has good flame, not over heating as far as tenant could tell.
Any ideas??

I'de start by unhooking the t-stat and see if it shuts off.
