I have a 2 story, 1920's house in Norfolk, VA. My upstairs bath is as far as possible away from the hot water heater. I would like to install one of those instant or point of use heaters just for the sink and shower, so I stop wasting all that water before it gets hot. I guess I'm not sure what I am looking for yet. I won't bother to install it if it won't run the shower, or I can't install it so that it reaches both the shower and the sink. Any help on this? It needs to be electric and I do have access to the pipes for the shower. Also, I'd prefer to do it myself, if at all possible. Thanks!

You might want to look into a Laing Auto-Circ electric pump that installs under your vanity sink for "instant hot water". It will run your shower, too.
Good luck!
