Hello everyone!

I was about to purchase a new dishwasher from a retailer. They asked me to check if my old dishwasher had copper pipe underneath. My old one has copper piping underneath, so both Sears/Homedepot won't install the new one. Is it easy for me to install or should I call a plumber to install? any advise is greatly appreciated.

Happy holidays!

Thats a strange situation that I have never heard of. You can install it. Just make sure that before you get rid of the old DW, you remove the fitting that the copper attaches to. They do not come with the new DW. Unscrew the compression nut (it stays on the copper) and then unscrew the fitting from the DW. Install the fitting in the new DW and when ready, connect the nut.
One more thing you want to check on is if the new DW is hardwired or plug in so you know if you have to change any electrical connections.
Good luck and reply back with any questions.
