I have a GE clothes washer. It is less than 2 years old. The model is WBSE3120B2WW. The issue is intermittent refusal to drain at the end of a Regular wash or rinse cycle. I can rotate the control to the end of another cycle (Easy Care or Delicate) and run a 6 minute cycle on those settings and it will either complete the cycle or continue it's refusal to drain. After repeated attempts on another cycle it eventually drains and spins and works fine. Sometimes it will make 3 or 4 Regular cycles without acting up.

When it acts up there is a humming sound from the washer for a few minutes like it wants to do something then it shuts down completely.

I'll be taking it apart soon to check it. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what to look for.

Hi Fixmyown,
- I'd check in the pump inlet or the tube to it. I've found everthing from safety pins to small toothbrushes in there jamming the pump.

The pump was bad. I replaced the pump and the washer is fine now. Access was really easy. The front panel comes off after you release the clips with a putty knife.
