I helped my wife out the other day by doing a load of laundry, She says I put to much in. The next load the machine filled up with water but did not cycle, timer did not move and it will not spin. I waited a few hours to see if it would work later still does not work, machine has power, is there a internal fuse that could have blown. I turned the dial to reset but it didn't do anything.
Maytag super washer about 7 1/2 years old, top loader
Thanks Frank
Hi Frank,
You can usually drain it by holding the hose low down into a bucket, get all the water out, then the clothes. When empty, tip it and see iof the srive belt is broken. Post back and let us know

Hi Nomind
I did have it drained already I used a cup and threw the water in the slop sink, the belts are fine I can spin them freely, I think its an electrical problem, Today I put it on Mini fill up, it filled up then did nothing, I tried the dial in other settings and still get no response. The timer does not move so I think the power is not getting to it.

Hi Frank,
-it's amazing how often it's the simple things, -sometimes so obvious we ignore them at first. Been there, done that :p
