I have removed wallpaper and found unprepped drywall in places and large pieces of (what I can only assume is) old fashioned adhesive which simply refuses to come off without bringing chunks of wall with it. As such, I intend to use textured paint over the whole wall to (hopefully) blend in the different wall textures.
Does anyone have any suggestions?! Thank you.

I'm not a big fan of the textured wall to "hide" imperfections
I'd recomend sanding as much as possible then "skim coating" the affected areas with joint compound
I think the results are much better and it fixes the problem rather than hopefully blending it
