There is a joint on my heating oil fill pipe which has just started to weep slightly. The previous homeowners had this tank installed less than 5 years ago. What type of compound or sealer can I apply to the joint to stop the leak? Thanks!

I think Id take it apart and retighten it all. Cant be that bad a job. When you think about there is just a little pressure in the line when they fill it . Thats why Id take it apart. Try Loctite sealent 565pst on the threads
