Hi, I have an Admiral TV (Orion on CRT?) Model GOJ12370, that went black with no sound. I have found that the flyback driver xsistor is shorted, but with no sound I'm wondering if there is not another problem. Can anyone out there help me find a schematic for this set? :wall:

I doubt you'll find a schematic on the internet. Sams doesn't even make one for that TV.
I hear the HOT transistors blow on those models all the time though. part# 2SD2499

Thanks for the reply Kuhurdler, not the response I wanted to hear. I does have a damper diode that appears to be ok. I have run this set almost daily for 4 years and had no problems, until I started getting some waves in the vertical, then a loud pop, then nothing. Someone somewhere must have a schematic. :mask: I guess I could just replace the HOT xsister and if that is the only problem, another 4 years and it should pay for itself. :coffee:
Thanks again for your response.
Have a great Holiday Season!
Just had another thought............do you know of any similar models that may use the same deflection circuitry??

I'm don't know much about admiral/orions... just that I'm very unlucky when fixing them.
