I have problems.

My furnace, which is a Ruud, immediately turns on the blower and that is as far as it gets. So basically, I am just blowing air, which is cold.

I am of limited knowledge but here is what I have reviewed. The IFC board has two green lights, which are on. I don't have a voltage meter and would not know what to check if I did!!!!

I know I will probably need to call a tech, but any input is appreciated.

We have an electronic ignitor. I do not smell any gas. The ignitor has broken in the past and I would smell gas, hence, the valve would open but the gas would not ignite.

The furnace is approx. 6 years old.

I would cut power to the funace, the blower will shut off, obviously. When I turn the power back on the blower immediately turns on and will not shut off.

Sounds like you are out on a limit. Has your furnace been cleaned in the past few years?

we haven't had it cleaned. We have lived here about 3 years and the house is about 7 years old.

Actually, I never had a furnace cleaned but I usually live in a house about 4 years or less due to relocations!!!!

Thanks for the reply though.

It was the limit switch. A technician pulled the limit switch out, checked to see if it was getting current with a voltage meter. Finding none, he flicked the switch a few times and checked again. Did this until he got some current.

This could have been casued by a dirty filter. We change our filter frequently, but with the cold weather we have been having, possibly it was dirtier than normal.
