Hello all, I have copied and pasted so many urls my hands ache. I have an old GE electric dryer, Model # DDE9200PACWH, that I believe the belt went out on. I haven't removed any panels yet but dryer runs and warms but drum doesn't turn. It does move freely when rotated by hand. My real problem is that when I search for parts for this ancient thing I cannot find any matches to my model number. I know its really old, came with house so not sure how old, but it worked just fine until this problem and I assume that if it is a belt it will be a cheap fix. Thanks in advance, Gary Smith.

The first 2 letters in the number indicate that it was built in February and from there it was 1990 OR subtract 12 years.(they reuse the letters on 12 year cycles. I did not find your belt but the ones I did find were 87" and cost $17.99. Take the back off the dryer and if the belt is laying there you can take it with you to get a new one. Good luck.
Hi Gary,
- On most older dryers, belt replacement is easier done by removing the front panel. Lift the lid and you'll usually see 2 screws from the sideframes to the top of front panel. If you remove them , most front panels will then lift off. Be sure to have a small piece of 4x4 or similar to hold up the front of the drum.
