hi iam an alarm installer ,however i have a question.
i know that if you want to default a dsc panel you go to section 999 and default it if you have the installer code , and if you do not you could short the pgm to zone one and apply power to it ,but how do you default a panel with a software lockout on it without sending it back to dsc.

Unfortunately, this is fairly protected information. It is available online, but it's hard to find.
I personally do not divulge this information anywhere online, as I believe it to be a security breach to do so.
I will say this much, it's not possible to unlock every DSC panel using the method - I believe it's version 4+ that it does not work on.
Good luck!

In my experience, DSC's online database is pretty extensive. Log on to their site (www.dsc.com), and register as an installer. They mostly want to establish that you are for real. Their response time for direct e-mail requests is generally pretty good, as well.

well ,for sure they will not tell you how to do it since they charge us $30/panel.
