Roomba or the Like Questions

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Roomba or its like.

I have been thinking about getting one of these little robot type of vacuum cleaners. We have a houseful of dogs (we train and show them) and a toddler so the floors need to be swept at least once a day. I am hoping that it can be set to run at night and then could hide out under our china cabinet all day so that the dogs and the toddler don't think it is a small animal they need to catch and play with/destroy.

Do these work decently to get dog hair and dust off of a hardwood floor? What about in a room like a dining room where you have chair legs and table legs? I am just hoping it might make it so that I don't have to sweep the floors every day but can put it off until the weekend for a more thorough cleaning.

THEY ARE REALLY NICE FOR WHAT THE ARE THE CLEAN PET HAIR AND CRUMBS AND HAVE MADE MY HOME LOOK CLEANER IN BETWEEN ORECK CLEANINGS

They are $ pricey $, But if you have an active house the do do a good job but you still need a good vaccuming to do the deep cleanings once a week or so


will muenuver around stuff as non marking rubber around it and i only see it hat a few stuff to learn the way the only problem is it needs about 6" clearance it gets stuck under my chair that is low some times but all in all it is nice
