I have a dryer that makes a loud squealing noise until the air warms up. In other words, right after the dryer cold starts, and also at the end of the cycle, during the cool-down phase. In the middle, when the interior is warm, there is no squealing.
Any ideas? Could this be a heating coil that is expanding and contracting, thus only rubbing against something during certain temps? Just thinking out loud here, but any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I will think out loud also :)
I'd probably take the back off of the dryer and run it, and try to define "what is squealing". I suspect it might be the rollers the drum rotates on, and if so, I'd spray them with WD-40.
My Dad used to say, "If it doesn't move or squeals, use WD-40. If it moves and it is not supposed to, use duct tape" :D

If you find that it is rollers, replace them. If there are 4, then replace ALL 4. I do not think that spraying a flammable liquid into an enclosed space, with electrical connections is a good idea. Good luck.
