Hi there, I have a quick question. I removed wallpaper and have holes in the underlying paint- some down to the brown drywall. I applied drywall compound and in one area it started bubbling within 5 minutes!! (no tape applied, just compound). What should I do? The area that is bubbling is not the brown area that I covered (if that makes sense)
Thanks!
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums linda and thanks for posting in the public forum.
This is a common problem when trying to repair walls after wallpaper removal. Best bet is to put a coat of Gardz on the walls & then skim with mud to repair damaged areas. The product is made by a company called Zinnser and is available at paint stores, home centers, etc.

So what do I do with the bubbles? Scrape them off and start over with the other product?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The bubbles have to go, scrape them off or else sand them off after they dry.

hi
if there bubble when you applied the drywall mud means there some air in it.
I tried several time to mix it with a mixer to get bubble out but still had bubble. I got new mud and through the other in the garbage.
time is money and mud is cheap.
cheers
