View Full Version : Lett or Lett's Septic System

I just purchased a house today that was advertised as having a Lett or Lett's septic tank system.

I have done an internet search, and talked with my realtor, and I cannot find out what makes this system different than a normal septic system. My best guess based solely on the house location and community, is there is no on-site (individual) drain field, but the septic tank is pumped to a community drain field.

Am I even close on my assumptions here?

Rick,
I think that I found what you probably have...an Envirolet composting system:

Check it out.

Mike,

I am talking about a whole house septic system, not a toilet

That link is about toilets, unless I was to explore other links from the site. If so, let me know.

I appreciate you looking, I could not find anything.

Rick,
Call the local County Health Department. They should know what it is, because they had to approve it for the original permit and inspection. It should be on the septic system permit record of that home, on file either under the name of the property owner when it was installed, or possibly by the address.
The agent should be able to find out who owned the property when the home was built, if he/she doesn't already know.
I don't have a clue if it isn't related to that Envirolet system. That was the only sewage disposal thing that I could find on the net with something that sounds like "let" in it.
Good luck!
Mike

Thanks Buddy,

I am headed north to meet Santa and the moving van.

The seller was the first owner of the house, and there is a homeowner's assoc., every home in this subdivision has the same system, so when I get back with a moving van, I'll contact the homeowner's assoc. or the county and get a better understanding.

If this is the Best Available Technology, you'd think you could find a link to it on the internet.

Have a Great Christmas :) Robert we need a Santa Smiley :D
