Cutting roller-type window blinds to fit

Hi, I need to know how to cut the roller-type window blinds down to fit a window narrower than the width of the blind. Any help appreciated!!

Can you better describe "roller-type window blind". Is it a spring roller window shade or a roll-up woven shade or something else.
